I think you can update the TomTom website.
I know we try to do our own work, and had to pay for an upgrade, but not sure what they were updated. But then he found the memory card that is not on the TomTom large enough to send the information to him! I am no longer with him!
I'm sure if you should search Google for TomTom, or consult the manual, you will be able to find information about the updates!
